Four Acts of Worship, two Eucharists, Vespers, and a concert were attended by over a thousand people in total. Participation within the Lutheran liturgy proved challenging but richly rewarding, and our clerical and lay hosts at both venues were gracious and hospitable. Indeed, we were made to feel welcome and valued throughout our stay, both by the Church and by Berliners as a whole. A choir of thirty gave voice to polyphonic music spanning five centuries by British, French, Russian, Canadian, and Icelandic composers sung in English, German, Old Church Slavonic, Greek, and Latin. John Sheppard wrote the earliest music and Rupert Jeffcoat the latest (a setting of In manus tuas, written especially for performance on this tour). 14-15 February 2015 : Gloucester Cathedral The Choir will be singing the services in Gloucester Cathedral on Saturday 14 February 2015 and Sunday 15 February 2015.
